Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner Election

Residents of Northamptonshire will be able to vote in the election taking place on Thursday 2 May 2024.

Voters will be required to show photo identification when voting at a polling station on 2 May 2024.  You can use a passport, photo driving licence and certain other forms of ID.

(see www.electoralcommission.org.uk/voterID for full details).  If a voter does not have any of the acceptable forms of Voter ID they can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate (VAC).  The deadline to apply for a VAC for the elections on 2 May is 1700 on Wednesday 24 April 2024

Volunteer at a Polling Station

The Election Team have a small number of vacancies for Presiding Officers and Poll Clerks.

Presiding Officers are responsible for the polling station on election day. 

Poll Clerks assist Presiding Officers with issuing ballot papers in the polling station.

Payment and full training will be provided.
