Gretton Parish Council is seeking to compile a small list of parish-based contractors, or handy workers, that are willing to offer their paid services to carry out occasional tasks on property for which the Council is responsible.

General work - Items of work might include fencing repairs, gate hanging, drain clearance (not highways), vegetation clearance, some decorating and other miscellaneous tasks.

Applicants should possess their own basic items of equipment, appropriate vehicle to carry small amounts of materials, and adequate skills/experience/capability to carry out tasks around the village, when required, in a timely manner.

Payment based on quoted hourly rate per job.

Professional trades - The Council wishes to have contacts for builders, electricians, plumbers, tree surgeons and arboricultural contractors. Contractors should possess necessary certification for the job.

Quotes will be requested for specific jobs and occasional emergency call-outs may be required.

Evidence of current liability insurance and appropriate certification will be required for professional trades.
